Depending on your search engine of choice, if you were to research the term "servant heart," it is highly likely that you would be presented with a picture of Michelle Smith. Michelle was born and raised just down the road from us in a little town called Americus. Growing up, her parents worked, so she spent most of her time with her grandmothers. They would spend their days as grandmothers and granddaughters do: watching soap operas, cooking and baking, and, above and beyond the typical days, they loved traveling together, especially going back and forth to and from Florida.

This way of being raised instilled in Michelle a passion for seniors. She loves spending time with them, learning their stories, and showing them the care and attention that she has always felt they showed her. When her grandmother became ill and unable to care for herself, Michelle's mother stepped in and cared for her daily. Michelle would watch as her mother fed her grandmother, took care of her every need, and did it in a kind and compassionate way. A seed was planted.

From that time forward, Michelle Smith knew that she wanted to work and care for our most vulnerable population. She began working as a CNA in 1999. In Americus, she worked in nursing homes and memory care centers for years. Finally, Michelle decided to move to Columbus and open her own home care business so that she could serve those she is most passionate about.
