In a heartwarming display of community collaboration, Slade Pair, owner of Auto Masters Repair, has teamed up with Animal Ark Rescue, a local non-profit animal rescue and adoption center. When asked what prompted this affiliation, Slade Pair responded, “I have always loved animal's and have a soft spot in my heart for the homeless, injured, and lost animals in our community. I have seen so many online postings of homeless and lost animals, and it breaks my heart. Donating food and supplies to local shelters just doesn’t seem like enough. I thought: Why not make this a bigger, more effective impact? Because Animal Ark Rescue is a smaller facility and in greater need, my staff and I chose to help them.”

Animal Ark Rescue has been serving Columbus, GA, and the surrounding areas for over a decade, working tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and find forever homes for abandoned, surrendered, and mistreated animals. he Greatest/Urgent Needs:
While many of the efforts of Animal Ark Rescue are known to the community, the greatest needs are for the least adoptable animals: the elderly animals. Sabine Stull, Founder, and Director of Animal Ark Rescue, along with her team, shared insights into the specific needs of the shelter. The greatest need is financial contributions for needed medical care. Besides spaying and nurturing, many animals require extensive and expensive surgery. With no veterinarian on staff, these costs (even when discounted) drain financial resources quickly. Other immediate needs include Purina Dog Food, High Absorbent Cat Litter (non-clumping), cleaning products, paper products, and office supplies. Future Plans:

The affiliation between Auto Masters Repair and Animal Ark Rescue is
