The ArtsReach Series features the American Ballet Theatre
Studio Company in a performance of classical ballet, the return
of Aquila Theatre in their tour advance of Fahrenheit 451, student matinees for the charming Giraffes Can’t Dance on January
16, and the powerful thrill of Japanese drumming in Drum Tao
on February 22. And don’t forget all the holiday favorites: The
Gingerbread Village November 29-December 19, The Maneuver
Center of Excellence Band Christmas Concert December 1, and
Christmas with THE WAVE on December 2.
Speaking of THE WAVE, Ron Carter returns to provide organ accompaniment for the silent film classic, The Phantom of the Opera
on October 28. Come in costume and/or bring a non-perishable
food item for the Schwob School of Music student food bank and
receive a discount on your ticket! A celebration of THE WAVE is in
store in February with two events: the German science fiction film
Metropolis on February 17 with organist Clark Wilson in what is
widely regarded as one of the most influential films ever made and
Celebrate THE WAVE concert with organist Ken Double on February 18. The 1927 Best Picture Oscar Winner, Wings, closes the
series on May 4 in a romantic action picture as two young men,
one rich, one middle class who are in love with the same woman
become fighter pilots in World War I. The film stars Clara Bow and
Gary Cooper in a small role that launched his Hollywood career.

in a shocking turn of fate.
