RiverCenter Announces 2023-24 Season
Aug 10, 2023 ● By Staff WriterMajor concert artists, a world-renowned opera star who was just
announced as a Kennedy Center honoree, a collection of national
touring Broadway shows that have not been seen before on the
RiverCenter stage, and multiple tour start-ups lead RiverCenter’s
2023-24 Season. “The upcoming season is one great show after
another and we’re thrilled to announce it,” said RiverCenter Executive Director Norman Easterbrook.
The season opens on August 26 with a tour advance of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, a film screening with live orchestra and lighting effects. “This production is a first for RiverCenter
and the Columbus region, appealing to both continuing and new
audiences,” said Easterbrook. “Combining the craft of the graphic
novel on film with live music on stage is a concept that is terrifically popular in regions around the country. Columbus area audiences will be able to experience this program for the first time ever as
they launch their national tour from Columbus. The Spider-Man
stories have just been fun for entire generations in print and on
film. Adding the live musicians is a human element that will more
closely connect the audience to the work of the graphic and film
artists and creators.”
The TSYS Broadway on Broadway series includes shows new
