11th Annual Warrior Outreach and Operation Song Music Therapy Retreat for Veterans and First Responders

Apr 01, 2024 ● By Desi Phillips

The 11th annual Warrior Outreach and Operation Song music therapy retreat is set to take place over the weekend of April 5th to 7th, 2024, in Harris County, GA. This collaborative effort between two non-profit organizations aims to provide support and healing for veterans, first responders, and their families through the power of music.

Warrior Outreach Ranch in Fortson, GA, spearheaded by CEO Samuel Rhodes, is hosting the event. Rhodes emphasizes the importance of storytelling and connection, stating, “Every veteran has a story, every spouse or widow of a veteran, any family member that’s lost one of the 22 that kills themselves every day has a story. We’ve been trying to save the next life.”

Operation Song, a Nashville-based non-profit dedicated to empowering veterans through songwriting, will once again join forces with Warrior Outreach for this meaningful retreat. For the 11th consecutive year, Operation Song will facilitate songwriting sessions, pairing professional songwriters with soldiers, veterans, active-duty personnel, and their family members. Together, they will craft and record songs that serve as a powerful means of expression and healing.

The retreat will culminate in a special evening event on April 6th, from 7-9 p.m., at the National Infantry Museum located at 1775 Legacy Way, Columbus, GA 31903. The setup will begin at 4 p.m., with concessions available from 6-7:30 p.m. Doors for the show will open at 6 p.m. To RSVP and secure seats for the event, interested individuals and families can email [email protected].

Sam Rhodes, President/CEO of Warrior Outreach Inc., invites all veterans, first responders, and their families to participate in this transformative experience. He emphasizes the contagious nature of caring, urging attendees to join in this collaborative effort to support and uplift one another.
