Women in Entrepreneurship: Amber Swift: Restoring Health, One Woman at a Time
May 16, 2025 ● By Maria HayesYou always hear the quote, “Create the life you want!” but life mostly creates us. Amber's story is so close to so many women that I know. I related in so many ways to her struggles and triumphs. I hope her story inspires at least ONE person to create the life they want because if she can do it, so can we!
At 39, Amber Swift found herself where many women quietly land: exhausted, anxious, achy, bloated, and completely drained. Life looked like an endless loop of doing, for others, for her family, for her church, until her body said, “enough.” For 23 years, Amber had poured herself into motherhood, homeschooling five children while also serving wholeheartedly in the small church she and her husband helped plant. She said yes to everything and everyone, until the very body doing the saying finally ran dry.
Her breaking point came not just from stress, but from a well-intended detox program she tried with her husband. Instead of relief, it triggered a cascade of setbacks: seven cavities, early onset menopause, and even more stress. “What benefits one person might exacerbate another’s struggles,” Amber says. “One man’s food is another man’s poison.” It was the perfect storm: chronic stress combined with a health regimen that wasn’t right for her. She describes it as a “1-2-3 punch,” a cumulative crash that forced her to reevaluate everything. Her biggest takeaway? She had to put on her own oxygen mask first. And that’s exactly what she did. That realization became a launching pad.
Amber became a Certified Integrative & Functional Nutrition Health Coach, and now leads other women back to health, not through fads or guesswork, but through small, sustainable changes. She focuses on energy restoration, hormone balance, anxiety reduction, and weight loss, all through personalized, faith-driven guidance.
“My why is to help busy women flourish in the life God has gifted them,” she shares. “To embrace each day with vitality and joy.” When asked what she would tell her younger self, her answer comes with the kind of wisdom you can only earn the hard way: “Embrace every aspect of your journey. The highs and the lows, this is where the beautiful growth and wisdom come from.” Amber’s motivation is grounded in consistency, prayer, and purpose. “I stay motivated by going back to my why and asking the Lord for wisdom and open doors,” she says. “Consistency is where the gold is. Every day, I just try to move the needle a little more.”
For fellow women entrepreneurs feeling defeated, Amber has this reminder: “Your mission is as unique and beautiful as you are. You have a story to tell and a people group to reach that no one else can. Keep going. Be flexible. Stay humble and teachable.” Today, through her business Renewed Health, Amber helps women heal from the inside out. Her work isn’t just about food or supplements, it’s about giving women permission to prioritize themselves, to heal, and to rise. In her journey from burnout to breakthrough, she’s not just telling a story… she’s changing lives.
So, my fellow women entrepreneurs, above all else, take your health seriously, because you truly deserve to enjoy the life you are creating!
I believe in you!
