Uptown Columbus is excited to bring back one of the Valley’s most joyfully chaotic traditions—the 11th Annual Strut the Hooch Parade! Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., and get ready for a mash-up of Mardi Gras, cosplay, Halloween, and pure joy—all rolled into one glorious street celebration.

Expect costumes, characters, color, and community as the most fun-loving, imaginative folks from across the Chattahoochee Valley come together to strut their stuff and celebrate what makes us different, delightful, and just a little bit weird—in the best way possible.

What to Expect:

The vibe? Think Mardi Gras meets DragonCon, but family-friendly. Whether you’re there to march, watch, or just soak up the fun, there’s something for everyone.

Where to Be:

• Parade forms at the Springer Theater on 10th Street—be there by 10:00 a.m.

• Parade rolls out at 10:30 a.m. sharp!

Spectators:

Dress up, bring your kids, bring your grandma, and don’t forget your kazoo! This is a come-one-come-all kind of party, so the more the merrier.

Want to Participate?

We’d love to have you! Whether you’re marching solo, rolling deep with your kazoo band, pushing a unicorn on a skateboard, or walking with your cultural group—this is your time to shine. We welcome bands, floats, fun vehicles, dancers, stilt walkers, flag twirlers, bubble machines, international groups, and all kinds of joyful weirdos. Just remember: keep it family-friendly and leave the politics at home. This is about joy, not agendas.
