Muscogee County School District Annual Military Service Recognition Ceremony

The Muscogee County School District hosted its seventh Annual Military Service Recognition Ceremony on Tuesday May 13, 2025, at 6:00pm in the Carver High School Auditorium. The ceremony honored 55 graduating seniors who have decided to answer our nations call to serve. After graduating, these brave young people will swear in for the final time and head off to their respective basic training or report to their college ROTC Battalion or Military Service Academy.
Presenting the certificate were Dr. Vitoria Thomas Director of CTAE for the Muscogee County School District, Lieutenant Colonel Herb Sanders, Director of Army Instruction, Major Dale Cox, Professor of Military Science at CSU’s Senior ROTC Program, and Service Recruiters from the Army (Sergeant First Class Karim Muhammad), Air Force (Staff Sergeant Dylan Powell), Navy (Petty Officer Second Class Jessica Rocha), Marines (Staff Sergeant Kamerone Kilgore). Each student received a signed certificate of appreciation from the Superintendent of Education for the Muscogee County School District, Dr. David Lewis. The following are the number of students committed to serve by branch: Army (24), Navy (7), Marines (15), Airforce (9).
